The Treehouse

Designed by Pete Nelson, the treehouse build was featured on an episode of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. An attractive walkway and full staircase lead to the deck where you’ll look out over the pond and gardens, do some star gazing at night, take in the foliage, and watch wildlife traverse the hill near the woods. Inside you’ll enjoy our delicious coffee and teas, play board games, catch up on some writing, or play music on the vintage record player. The treehouse is equipped with internet and all the comforts of home. But it’s also a retreat where you can unplug and gain some respite. Just outside is a fire pit, propane grill, meditation walk around the pond, or longer hike into the 100 acres of forest behind us.

The Main House

Spruce

The Spruce is our largest, brightest, and most popular room. It has a king-sized bed by Self Made, an organic mattress by Sleep On Latex, handmade rug, and antique dresser. A extra large en-suite bathroom and roomy shower complete the room. The room is bright and comfortable and has a view of the backyard from one side and the Village church from another side.

Birch

The Birch is furnished with a Matera queen bed designed in solid American black walnut by Sean Yoo. The room has a private en-suite bathroom. Windows look onto the several 120-year old pines and the Village church.

Oak

The Oak is furnished with a king-sized bed by Self Made, an organic mattress by Sleep On Latex, and contemporary handmade Indian rug. It’s cozy and includes a recently remodeled and private en-suite bathroom.

Hemlock

The Hemlock is furnished with two twin beds made of book-matched Walnut with carved posts, a tall dresser of walnut and pecan veneers, and a luxurious Kashmir rug with tribal design. The room brings you right back to the years when this house was first occupied. It is classic, spacious, and has a private bathroom inside the room.

Walnut

The Walnut is furnished with two queen sized beds. A 1935 Berkey & Gay bedroom set in mint condition has been modified for a queen mattress. A custom-made Murphy bed is folded up until you need it. A handmade Khal Mohammadi rug of the softest Kashmir wool will keep your feet warm. This room has a private hallway bath with tub and shower.
